Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper

I'm one of those people that kinda liked the new trooper design in Force Awakens. I thought it looked kinda cool and still looked distinctly Star Wars. So when i saw the new Black Series Stormtrooper on retail, i thought "Why not?" So here he is! First Order Stormtrooper!

I gotta admit i'm not the biggest fans of Star Wars. I've watched the movies when i was little and loved it, but i'm not hardcore into the franchise like most others are. So i wasn't into the Force Awaken hype train.
Anyway, back to the figure. At first glance, the trooper looks sleek and cool. I like the new mask that's much more streamlined and the body armor which is more smooth compared to the angular old Stormtrooper armor.

I also like the utility belt and the back attachmet thing, not sure what it is but i sure looks cool.

Accessories wise he comes with the new blaster and pistol that both can be attached to the right thigh via a slot. The weapons are painted though it's a tad sloopy.

Now let's talk articulations. I really hate the "take 1 step forward, 2 steps back" thing Hasbro practice. The old Stormtrooper have doublejointed elbows, so did the Clonetrooper though he was severly limited by the elbow guard. So why did new Stormtrooper only have a normal elbow swivel? And not a good one at that, they're angled near the sides instead of the middle, causing the armguard to press against the biceps. This is STUPID.
They can't even bend 90°, i had to shave alot of plastic off so that he could barely reach 90°.

Besides the stupid elbows, he has pretty standard modern Hasbro articulations.

He looks cool, i won't deny that, but the elbows really pisses me off. Hasbro has already proved that they can do doublejointed elbow swivels so i have no idea why they choose to make the new troopers this way. Given the choice again, i would have skipped him and saved for the upcoming figuarts trooper. Atleast he's cheaper so you can armybuild them and put them all the way to the back of the ranks.

Anyway, thanks for viewing!
