Transformers Generations Deluxe Chromia

Chromia was a soldier under Elita One and Ironhide's lady in G1 while in IDW she's Windblade's bodyguard and big sis figure. She's a tough, no-nonsense militaristic fembot... that's pretty much what i know bout the character. You probably won't think a character like this would have a toy made but against all expectations, Hasbro released her along with Windblade and Arcee in the same year! That's 3 fembots, all in the same line which is probably a new record for Hasbro.

 Her altmode is pretty cool if i say so myself, a blue lightcycle that's pretty and hold together well. Really really solid mode. I might even say i like this mode more than her bot mode.

 

In bot mode, she's not that bad looking either. Based off the PRID Arcee mold albeit heavily retooled, a pretty good headsculpt and really striking blue colour scheme accented by red and white.

She comes with a pistol, JUST ONE. On her package pictures and official product pictures, she's suppose to come with TWO pistols. Where's the other pistol you ask? Well, Hasbro decided that Arcee needed more accessories than she already has and packages Chromia's gun with her... I don't know why they would do this and i'm pretty ticked off, mostly because finding Arcee without paying scalper prices would be pretty hard.

Anyway, back to Chromia... she looks fine, until you look at her back. Seriously, there's gotta be a better way to hide the kibbles right? In IDW, her bike canopy actually turn into something like a riot shield which is pretty cool. Hasbro made a canopy/shield with deluxe Trailcutter, so why couldn't they do it here? It would have made Chromia look miles better!

All in all, Hasbro didn't put much effort into Chromia as much as Windblade and Arcee and it shows. Still, she's a pretty solid toy, besides the obnoxious back kibble. If you have PRID Arcee you'll know what to expect.
