Neca 12" Godzilla 2014

"OH NO, NOT AGAIN!" was fans' first reaction upon finding out Hollywood was gonna make another Godzilla movie. I can't really say i blame them, Roland Emmerich killed everyone with his 1998 Godzilla, so expectations weren't high. Luckily, the movie was pretty entertaining this time around and Godzilla himself looked AWESOME with his newest incarnation.

This is the biggest Godzilla designed ever! And he certainly looks the part, with a thick torso and legs and wide neck, he's built like a bear! The tiny head amplifies the monstrous look as well. Though i would have preferred his back find to be tad thicker.

He's accentuated with some blue paint on his scales and a brown wash on his belly. This breaks up the monotone black and gives him a subtle depth.

Articulation is really surprising, being built like a truck, you wouldn't have expected Godzilla to have much articulation. But Neca is full of surprises. Godzilla is PACKED full with ball joints, his tail alone features 4! I expected his limbs to be just simple swivels but they're connected to ball joints as well.

With all the joints, he can do his infamous Showa dance!

Scale wise, he blends well with Monsterarts and Revoltechs.

But standing next to the Pacific Rim Neca figures, he's dwarfed severely.

For such a low price, he's a really fantastic addidtion to any kaiju collection. I know Bandai is making their own Godzilla 2014, but it's still awhile to release and the price will be sure turn off some. Till then, i can't recommend Neca's Godzilla enough.
Anyway, thanks for viewing.

3A Action Portable Fighting JC

3A are one of the more controversial toy company out there. With questionable upfront payment for preordered item methods, long delay times, you can't really blame the fans and customers' dissatisfaction. But once they deliver their products, it's no wonder fans keep coming back for more.

I have no idea behind 3A's toy lore but it's pretty obvious who this character is. You know it, I know ir so let's just skip the religious debate. Let's talk bout how cool they figure is instead.

Action portable is 3A's 1/12 scale figure line. Normally, cloth in this scale looks ridiculously out of scale with the figure but 3A somehow discovered how to make it look superb. Cause just look at it!
The cloak is is sewn with wires so you can pose the cloth and it works. JC himself looks superb, with litthe sculpted cloth and tattoos painyed on, the dirt and grime works, making it looks like JC just fought the army of darkness.

He comes with a detached ZOMB head, which i guess is the 3A version of the undead

With the cloak off, JC looks badass as ever..

Articulation is fantastic! Since AP is derived from their 1/6 line, just shrunken down, it retains all of the joints. Only problem is the cloth does restrict some of his movement.

Since it's 1/12, he blends well with Marvel Legends, figma and SHF. All in all, i love this guy. With the exception of some loose joints, he's pretty much great. I bought mine on Bambaland when he dropped.
Anyway, thanks for viewing!

Transformers Generations Legends Class Reflector and Skrapnel

The Insecticon trio were pretty unique among the decepticon ranks by being the first few insect based transformers. The first and most famous team was made of Kickback (grasshopper), Bombshell (hercules beetle) and Shrapnel/Skrapnel (stag beetle). But like all team based toys, Hasbro rarely complete them in the same line or scale. And Skrapnel here is no different.

Based on his IDW look, Hasbro has release Skrapnel into the Thrilling 30 line as a legend class figure. He looks great in his alt mode, obviously drawing designs from the G1 toy. Too bad there's nor articulation in his alt mode though.

His little partner, Reflector is a tiny camera which is freaking awesome!!!

Skrapnel looks great in bot mode, with angular edges and a really nice head sculpt. Too bad bout his insect legs, they're pretty intrusive. I wish they could fold away more. With ball jointed shoulder, elbows, hips and knees and a swivel head, he has all the articulation he needs.

This is what i didn't like, all the insect legs are sticking out the back.

Reflector turns into a big gun that looks like Skrapnel's G1 weapon.

He's good, but i think i'm spoiled by Cosmos. He wins in ever department except colour. Love those purple parts.

Skrapnel can't really hold the camera mode Reflector as well as i hope. But nothing some blue tack couldn't fix.

Say cheese!
He's a pretty good figure, just flawed by the insect legs in bot mode. Otherwise, he's a pretty cool legends class toy, can't say the same bout his wavemate Tailgate...
Anyway thanks for viewing!

66 Action Kamen Riders Box 2

Kamen rider, bugmen of justice and my childhood heroes. It's hard to find anyone who haven't been exposed to kamen rider in 1 form or another. With so many incarnations of kamen rider, it's no surprise that Bandai would capitalize on the franchise, ranging from roleplay toys to fully articulated action figures and now, tiny tiny little action figures.

A newly released line, 66 Action is a series of candy toys of chibified kamen riders from the various series. Here in box 2, there's Kabuto from kamen rider Kabuto, W from kamen rider W, Den-o from kamen rider Den-o, Zangetsu from kamen rider Gaim and the secret figure Dark Kabuto... which unfortunately i don;t have... Anyway, the figures all have standard articulation, ball jointed head, shoulder, hips with swivel elbows, wrist, knees and ankles. But because of how it's made, the shoulder and hip joints have pretty limited outwards motion. While kamen rider W is my fave Heisei series, his figure here is pretty meh. All the riders come with a black stand and some extra accessories, W here has a scarf and extra hands holding memories.

He's missing paintapps on his bangles and his back.

Kabuto is probably the best looking one, his metallic red really pops and his red eyes are really cool. He comes some extra hands just like W.

Here's him with the "My grandma used to say..." poses.

Den-o gets a sword!

Ore Sanjou looks really awkward...

I haven't watch Gaim yet, so i have no idea bout Zangetsu except his based on a melon and has a shield. He also comes with a sword.

All in all, these guys are pretty cool for their price. I bought them for 5 bucks per box. Even with the awkward shoulders and hips, they're pretty detailed and kinda cute. I'm looking forward to box 3 cause that one has Eternal which is my fave villain from W.
Anyway, thanks for viewing!

EDIT: Finally managed to get my hands on the secret figure for this box, Dark Kabuto!
